Beach Run this morning...

120 mile round trip to the South Coast this morning, never got a chance to get out much over Christmas when its dead quiet in the morning, so thought I better use my last day wisely...

Used half a tank of Tesco 99 for this, seemed to run well but MPG was well down on the usual for that route, probably 5 or 6 lower than normal. At 89.9p though it easily evened out against the ridiculous 1.09p Ultimate where I live.

Roads were great though, as its twisty single carriageway for about 40 miles it can be an absolute nightmare, get stuck behind something and say goodbye to 20 minutes of your life. No such trouble today though, the one car I came up behind pulled straight over and let me pass, quality!

Is there any beaches that you can drive on to that people know of?? My mates dad used to drive on the beach in wales but then i was told it was illegal to do so...i'd love to take some photos on the beach (of my car that is lol)

A350 straight from Westbury in Wiltshire all the way down to Bournemouth (with a few carefully selected B road diversions). Great twisty road but very very unusual to get a clear run on it, usually overloaded with lorries and caravans. I did spot a black 182 whilst in Bournemouth today actually, not much traffic about though.

Can only do it this time of year really and only on bank-holidays or early Sunday mornings, couldn't believe my timing today, 60 miles and one car to pass! The extended route takes in Lulworth Cove as well, those roads are even better but I didn't get round to that, will have to get a photo of the B3075 next time, its fantastic, if you don't stay legal you literally take off.
