I do need to give the engine bay a deep clean and I’ll paint the cam cover and engine mount to make it look pretty lol.

So local lad decided to blow his engine up at 140 mph ( so he says) and has decided to break it, saw his wheels and despite being filthy and having shitty toyo tyres on it, a deal was done and after a quod clean, they were trail fitted! I do plan on repainting the centre caps and fitting better tyres (suggestions please) next up install Epas, strengthened and polybushed lower arms and new cup shocks all round with eibach springs!

So been busy today fitting parts, unfortunately I didn’t have the camera but I now have new cup shocks and eibach springs fitted with new black poly bushes along with strengthened lower arms with new ball joints and my god does it make a huge difference in handling and comfort!

So the car stands at:

So last couple of days has consisted of fitting mthe Epas system and getting rid of air con pump, having a wheel alignment, new screen fitted and mot. Having new bushes,suspension, Epas and a good wheel alignment has transformed the car and feels nice and tight like it did 13 years ago!

All Went well apart from the Mot when the car decided to kick up abs,service and esp lights on the dash! Bloody French cars!,,

Soooooo, with the dash lighting up like a Christmas tree and the gearbox deciding to whine, the Clio is now off the road for surgery.

The plan is to change the box for a 172 cup one ( got a good condition one for a good price) fit a new clutch and seeing as I’ve got all the interior loom,ecu,ugh and brake lines, 172cup set up.

Seeing as I’ve decided to do this, I needed a car to drive around in and collect parts, so this morning I colllected this.

Leaking oil ( rocker cover gasket, common fault £20) and they woman had got another car and didn’t want it anymore! As soon as the Clio is back on the road, I’ll sell it on and see if I get my money back lol

Update time and it’s a big one!

So the cup has taken a little turn over the last couple of momths , many it’s a lot lighter and is no longer a road going car.

I have removed all the interior, and unnecessary brackets, fitted an ro22 saftey devices roll cage, ripped all the wiring out the car, removed all the abs system , removed the Tessa manifold and sold on, purchased an omex 600,Dash2 display, made a custom switch panel and seeing as I sold the Tessa manifold, I treated myself to some bodies!

I also fitted some new door cards with porsche style door halls, tinted a new radiator to sit under itbs and repainted all the wheels.more pictures because we love looking at them! Also got the Group N timing tool from the group buy, so exited to see what the power is on the engine with the itb’s.

Final mini update, got a sparco bucket seat for £50 that’s still in date, got to love a bargin! In other news, the bmw has been sold as it wasn’t my cup of tea, paid £230 for it, sold it for a £1000, this paid for this and left me with a £100 spare! The history on this car is fantastic and has been looked after very well, previous owner had owned it for 11years! Bar the scorpion exhaust ( which I’ve now removed and fitted a Miltek one) the car is completely standard and that’s how it’s going to stay ?

Thank you for the kind words. I have mad a complete loom, spent about 30 hrs making it, will put pictures up.
As for the Dash2 to cup speedo drive, I don’t know if it’s possible but will look into this as as of yet that’s the only thing I haven’t worked out.
