Bearshare gone for a s**t in the woods?

To cut a long story short the pc screwed up so i bought a new one. Needing some new tune-age about the bit so went back to Bearshare where i used to get my music and other interesting viewing from.

Downloaded Bearshare 7, the new version i think? and the song choices are now non existent. Frankie goes to Hollywood for example only brought up 5 results and when you download it, basically it dosent do anything!

Is this all to do with the clamp down on file sharing sites or will my settings be wrong?

Tried Limewire and that was the same

Im using Windows Vista and my music tastes are music singles not albums

I wouldnt use P2P Programs personally. Did you know that you can pay to download music ? thats the most stupid idea ive ever heard.

Not sure why its doing this, you running service pack one ? and what Anti virus you using ? what songs you looking for ?

Limewire throws up alot more than 5 Frankie Goes To Hollywood for me . I'd check your settings , go into options and check your allowing certain files .

Not that i'd use Limewire or the likes for music . Lots of other better options out there

Anti virus im using is Kaspersky.

Bearshare used to be really good, lots of results and quick downloads but with my pc being out of action for a period of time and all this stuff on the news regards to illegal downloads, with me having no luck so far i just wondered if it was the 'current scene' with these kind of sites rather than my settings.

Tried old and new versions of Bearshare too but no luck.


Can anyone recommend me some decent sites for downloading CD singles please?

I still use torrents as the sites I use are pretty quick. I never download tunes though, will always be a mix of some sort.

P.S. remove all traces of bearshare from your comp, most of bearshareis virus based that beams your info all over the net. Its starting to trace people now to enforce law if you dont acctually have it set that people can get files of you too.

Also download Frostwire it will replace limewire and is exactly the same but uses a law loophole to get around things but not to sure how long for.

I use Russian sites mp3music.ru, or just google russian music sites, always good quality and like $2 an album!! Cant beat it!!!
