I'll let my Brother explain what happened...

Anyhow - Thats two clio's (mine was a Mk1 Ph1 16v) we have written off between us in as many months...

And now we are without any sporty clio's ...

Would anyone lend us theirs for the next breakfast run ??

:rasp:

We saw it on the loader as we went past, gutted for you both!

Fingers crossed on the insurance pay out, and don't let them fob you off either, that willy is / was a beauty, make sure you get a fair settlement guys.

All the best, Steve.

  clio williams n0.26
went around a tightish bend , on the throttle , straightened up the car and the back went.:(

lowered williams are twicthy , unforgiving.

ive got cup springs and coilovers , a choice of 2 to raise it back to standard hieght, should of raised it a long time ago.

ah well no excuses, these things happen.

but i will definitly say it was a great run, the 172's and the 182's were riding the bumps superbly. really worth doing again

  Breaking A 172 Replica
Argh that doesn't sound good!

Hope you get a good payout bud.

I wouldn't mind coming down to the next one but I only have a dynamique - would keeping up be an issue?

Babe.... we thought it best for you not to mention the accident.. wasnt our place

im just so so glad you guys are ok... only steve saw it in his rear mirror.. the rest of us just flew round the bend and didnt see anything... no dust, nothing!

Gareth said to me "god, did you see that car in the ditch? was on its side!" next thing i see steve coming back down the road..

we clicked and then turned round quicksmart!

So so so so gutted for you :( and hope it all get sorted soon!

truly am gutted for you... i know when i looked at the car in the ditch it looked a little mashed, but then when we saw it on the low loader and have now seen the pictures the extent of the damage is much much worse than i imagined.... :(

hopefully it hasnt put you off attending another meet.... and i truly hope you get yourself another Mint Williams (you have a decent set of wheels already ;)) - as Steve says fight hard with the insurance company to get a good payout - check out pistonheads for some examples of mint Williams for sale so you can argue well to get a good price for your car :)

it wasnt the end to the meet we ever intended.... but as i said earlier, the main thing is you both walked away unscathed

All the best in getting everything sorted out - no need to apologise either!!

i thought you'd get back to the M1 junction and find your way from there tbh after the noddy girl driving the Fiesta decided to hog the outside lane at 45mph :S

good pictures too buddy :)

thanx steve /amie/gareth and the rest of the guys. :star:

yeah been on to the insurance will just let them deal with it , dont envisage any problem on that side.

sam u will be fine if u went, it was a spirited run nuthing more than that. i just had an altercation. it was real good fun up to that point.

the cups looked luvly, might look in to them:)

I thought it looked worse when we drove by on the way back, could see the damage when it was on the loader. Such a shame as that was a lovely williams. Can believe how fast it was eather, I couldnt keep up in my cup but then again I wasnt trying to catch the V6! :nono:

Glad you were both OK and its all being sorted, hope to see you with something new and snazzy at a meet in the near future.

As amy said we werent going to say anything untill you did, as we all decided it wasnt our place to tell.

gutted for you mate, that was a lovely car.

shudnt be an issue getting sorted with a new one sharpish tho eh?

if u get another sporty clio tho just chill it down slightly, especially with a cup, no abs and no traction control! At the end of the day everyone is out to have fun, we dont want any more accidents.

Hope you're both ok.

Lewis.

How did that get in the ditch???or should'nt I ask

there's your answer Tony ;) thats the post from the guy who owned the car

  Dirty E91
Shame about the Williams but as Steve said it's only a car and they're easier to replace than a person.

Great route, if a bit bumpy in places (I definitley left my seat on a few occasions).

Cheers to Steve and Gareth for organising the morning.
