Best air filter or induction kit.

  valver engined r5.
So Wat do people recommend is the best air filter for a f7r engine. Currently runnin jus a K&N wit a cold air feed. But it jus seems to b struggling since i had the inlet manifold ported and polished.

Maybe not 7bhp, perhaps 3.5 lol. I must say that the impression of increased performance I got this morning after fitting it, and going for a blast, was better than the feeling of increased performance I got after fitting the ported inlet and GroupN.

Maxogen's rule. Excellent as part of a package imho. And not that badly priced compared to other kits on the market.

May or not be placebo but definitely pulled much better in the higher gears with the maxogen. I'm told they sound nice too, but my 2.5" straight through exhaust with decat kind of drowns it out. lol.

Yeah i no what your sayin matey i have decat and full 2.5 system but i just like the fact that i just spent nearly £400 on a filer and my better half doesnt no haha

Not a big job really, but if ya still thinking of gettin ya inlets matched I would get the plenum polished then, it saves a lot of hassle, and as you don't use it everyday now you should be ok with it off the road for a week or so to get the jobs done. You'll have to tell the missus about that one tho, think she'll notice LOL

She would believe me if i said i needed a left handed torx screws thats why we cant drive it for a week till they get delivered.lol

Hey tbh matey all i think i needed was the confidance, thou he did do the 6 screws on the carbon lip which holds the filter in the canister and jack the car up to take the acoustic valve off and undo the screws under front bumper.......actually i couldnt of done everything without his help.lol

It's a fiddly wee bugger to fit. I was like you, ran out of light and dropped 2 allan head screws down the mill. Got up early today to fish them out and finish job. lol
