Best bang for bucks upgrade?

  Cayman S Edition 1
After having a remap, ITG filter and Ktech Sports Exhaust fitted, I'm wondering what the next move should be;

1. ITG Maxogen
2. Ported Inlet Manifold
3. Uprated Cams

can only afford one btw;)

Cheers

def not itg maxogen, next to no increase in anything but noise lol

I assume the trophies come with RS inlets (better matched than the 172 inlets?), when you had it ported did it make a massive difference as I am considering it in the future for my 182.

Matched Inlets, someone posted just the other day about getting some done at Jamsport and got some good gains without paying a fortune

I think by 'ported inlet manifold' he means matched inlets so already done lol. Does it make much of a difference to the RS inlets because they are supposedly already quite well matched?

Inlets (unless your are RS stamped), or RSTuner remap. Or strip it, very cheap!
Edit: Just noticed you've had a remap. No offence, but WTF's the point of getting a remap if you're considering other engine upgrades? Custom map is the last thing you should do, after decat, induction, exhaust etc etc.

Losing weight costs nothing and can add more performance than most of those mods put together

  Trophy #490
I am presuming you have'nt sorted the brakes yet so I'd personally get them done before anything else. They were OK as standard, but are the only real thing that needed upgrading IMO.

'Best bang for bucks upgrade' though? Get it decatted!

As others have said, brakes!
Being able to brake harder and later would be more exciting than a slight power increase.

Thanks all for the replies.

Brakes are being done in January, hence not having too much spare for much else.

The Trophy isn't being used on the track at the moment, but I just want to squeeze out more power if possible,

One more question perhaps. Is it really worth going for new discs considering it prob won't be tracked? I was prob gonna fit Ferodo2500 all round.

i have ds2500 on mine mate, very good pads, nice solid feel to them. Im yet to get them to fade dramtically on the road.

i've had matched inlets from jam-sport and there are reasonable gains to be seen for the money spent, it feels a lot smoother low down the revs and torque seems better too
and the service is top notch to boot aswell ;)

Had the brakes upgraded on the Trophy last week:

Pagid RS4-2 pads
Brembo HC discs
Goodridge Braided hoses
Ate Racing Blue fluid

Amazing difference. Best mod I have made.

Did you put those pads on the back aswell?

if you change pad compound it's always best to go for new discs or they wont work to full potential. Pad material gets impregnated in the disk surface. A simple set of Brembo HCs is under £60
