Best day insurance company?

I found loads through googly goo but was just wondering, whats peoples experiences and which companies are good/bad cheap/expensive etc?

My dads going to see a car today, and it he buys it needs temporary insurance for me/him to drive it home as he wont be trading his old one in.

RAC seem to do it ok too, £20 for my old man. Wouldnt quote me though LOL

Its free as long as the garage you are buying from is signed up.

Adrian Flux done mine for a Ph1 172 with 0 NCB for £60 for 7 days (expensive over a year, but £25 was an admin fee) All other companies said I was too young @ 22.

Went with RAC in the end. I was too young on all the sites i tried at the time so got my dads friend insured.
