what would give the car the best shine, the 3 sonus or the menzernas?? ive used the megs on a pc already and was rather happy with that result but would like to try something different...

Not tried the Sonus polishes, but have not found a finishing polish that can surpass the looks that Menzerna Final Finish does.

thanks for that , ill go for the Menzerna kit not a bad deal at £190 imo as you get quite abit of kit. Why are there 2 different Final finish polish?

Different level of cuts in the Final Finish, The FF or FA can be used as a standalone polish on minor marring when you dont need Intensive Polishes level of cut, the 85RD is more suited to following up after using the Intensive Polish or to create/renew a good gloss when you don't want to use any real cut on new or in great shape paint.

Worth having both IMO.

You sure can. Though - Not sure I would use #85 with a Random Orbit, better suited to Rotarys.

Menzerna tends to yeild better results for me. Most Menzerna problems occur on The Rotary not the DA, cold on the DA just means long long work times.

I use the full range of Sonus pads, Menzerna Polishing Pads and a few LC Finishing Pads.

P21s if you have a sealant under it, looks ace on Blue (just not that durable). Otherwise look into Chemical Guys 50/50 or one of the Dodo's if your on a budget.

For what it's worth when it comes to waxes, I would just get a pot of Swissvax Onyx, it is 40 pound a pot but is a notch above any of the other £20-40 waxes and nearly pinches in the 70-150 quid bracket.

I would go for the Purple Haze out of the Dodo's nice wax apart from the added colour in it makes it akin to using bloody colour magic !

There is always the generic dodo waxes;

Rainforest Rub (soft) - the original dodo wax

Hard Candy (hard) - the new hard wax

The Dodo guy on DW admitted that the generic or any of the waxes a pretty much the same looking as the colour changed ones on any colour. He told me to use the Light Fantastic if the added colour bothered me. I do feel the colour changed nature is a bit of a market gimmicking - any one that buys a whole set as some people are doing need their head testing. Apart from f**king my applicator pads I see little benefits !

Sounds negative which it should not as they are nice waxes and recommend them - Aside from the colour the PH is a nice wax, and a mate I got the Orange Crush for is really liking that, very good for the money better than anything else for the money or cheaper without a doubt. I have just got the DW Dodo Double Wax so will be trying that and am happy to see it is pretty much colour free like most other waxes.

ive ordered the g220 menzerna kit now im gonna order a tub of onyx next week as i dont fancy spending nearly £300 in one weekend on cleaning stuff lol. Did'nt relize i would need a sealent aswell which sealent is recommened?? also any good pc'ing dvds avaible?? cheers for all the help

You don't have to use sealant, infact using Onyx I would not bother with a sealant just top up the Onyx every 4-8 weeks.

ah thats good to hear with the onyx how do you apply it to the car, with a pad by hand or with the pc??
