Best insurance quotes for 172’s/182

  BMW 330d :)

Ive just been getting some renewal quotes for my clio 172 cup. Im 22, 4 years ncb, live in glasgow and keep the car on the driveway at night with me being the only driver. The best quote i got is £860 from tesco which doesnt seem too bad but i think i can get better.

Whats everyone else been getting?

Cheers

Thats a good quote. When I was 22 with 3 years NCB my best was £1050 from Tesco. Just had a quote for my 182 with Tesco and that is £700 but Im 24 now with 5 years NCB.

Bloody rip off. Strange but when I rang Direct Line the bloke I spoke to said he had never seen a small car so high. The list theres from group 10-99. 182 is 77.

Your postcode has a lot to do with it too. Im classed as Milton Keynes (MK postcode) even though I am actually in Bedford which puts my insurance up a bit.

Well ive been quite lucky with no claims. My previous car (a new fiesta) came with 2 years free insurance included when i was 18, which was worth a whopping £1600 to me each year! So that was a £3200 bonus thrown in for free!

Anyway I was the main driver on the policy which has given me four years ncb in total, and enabled me to insure a group 16 car at 22 for £850! I feel sorry for my twin bro, who was the 2nd driver on the policy and doesnt have any no claims! So he couldnt get insured for my car! What a pity!;)

If you had said 10000 miles it would have been roughly 685. Think it works out about 15 quid for every 1000 miles.
