Best Method To Debadge

  Clio Sport 172
Was looking at the new style renault badge. I aint very good at doing things myself and would usually get a bodyshop to do it. Alot of people say it is easy.

Can anyone give a short guide of the best way to get the old badge off and getting all the glue off. Thanks

use an old credit card, slide it down the back and slice at it.

then the left over tape either pick off with your fingers or slice it off with the credit card aswell and polish it up afterwards.

you can use a hairdryer but its just alot of f**king about for a badge

just be careful that the holes on the new badge definatly are the same as the old badge (if it has pins) or youll be left with a badge that needs maskin up and 2 holes in your tailgate

Just the Clio has pins.

I slide a bit of cotton under them, then remove the residue with some AG Tar and Adhesive remover.

im sure it gets rid of it, but imo it would be £8 wasted for such a small ammount of residue.

get it off with your nails and use some polish you got in your cupboards.

it generally comes off very easily, the only problems you have is when its warmed up and it gets sticky.
