best way to polish the engine is?

hey guys, i was thinking using wet and dry paper to smooth it down then autosol it to bring out the shininess? i know its gunna be hard work but will this be ok to do?

yup, prepare yourself... Might want to get a dremmel on it for the first few stages

A wire brush or other polishing end on a drill takes out a lot of hand work.

start with some corse paper when i did mine i firstly used a dremmel. then sanded it with 80 grit and worked my way upto 1200 grit then polished with auto sol. be prepared to do ALOT of sanding though

get someone professional to do it otherwise it will take hours and hours..ive spent about 20 man hours doing mine and its nowhere near finished..im sending it to a metal polishers to get finished

I had a car that someone spent a LOT of time and money 'shining up'.

It was a pain in the ass if I'm honest. Not worth the aggro. Gets filthy dirty after about 20 miles of driving!!

wow i didnt quite take that long on it lol. mine took me about 4 maybe 5 hours but i did cheat and use a palm sander
