Best way to remove suspension bolts?

Have removed them many times before but the last time i did i needed to change them as hammering them knackers them but there seems to be alot of pressure on them is there a way to remove them with relative ease?

Im guessing you mean the 2 strut bolts?

Just shake the strut and wiggle the bolts. There only hard to get out because of pressure on them holding it in, if you know what I mean?

Yea fair enough, im sure once i had one just pop straight out no probs but it then put even more pressure on the lower one but im playing with camber bolts so only need the top one out, just wondered if a renault tech would go about this task any differently.

Can't say i've ever had a prob, just lightly tap them out.

Yea have tried this in the past, to be honest i have bolts to go in so i kinda doesnt matter what they look like after ive finished with them they were new in though so im not surprised they are stuck fast!! cost me 20 squid for the 4 from the stealers

When doing the camber bolts I just loosened the bottom ones as well, so the struts were a bit more free to move. Then tightened them all up properly when I was happy with them. Dno if this helps lol.

Do you have the car on axle stands or are you just jacking one side up??

If you just jack on side up then there is pressure on the bolts from the ARB.

Put the car on axle stands, this takes the ARB out of the equation and makes the bolts easier to get out as the wishbone isn't being pushed up.

Ok basically the reason i had to hammer the bolts out was because there were new in (which i'd kinda forgotten) so the ribbed bits of metal were doing there job and sticking fast!!

The hammer did the job and in no time i was messing with the camber and all was good.

Got a bit carried away with the camber but maxed out what i could just to see what was what as much as anything, i have 5mm spacers that im guna chuck on tomorrow but i left them at work so couldnt do this eve.

All i can say is OMG easily the best 20 squid ive spent on the Clio, didnt really know what to expect (if anything at all tbh) but they are amazing it just turns in!! even the tightest roundabout that my car usually can quite be pushed around was just nothing to the new setup. The steering feels a bit heavier which i really like and on a personal note my Clio was pulling to the left but now its straight as a die and i would pay untold amounts for this!!

To conclude I LOVE CAMBER BOLTS and im really close to having my car sat in a nice aggressive stance, and before anyone say oh it'll eat tyres... my paradas are 32 squid a corner woop and i could do with shredding them before winter comes haha
