Big flat spot at high revs - need help please

  Skoda Fabia vRS
car has been running brilliant lately, knew it wouldnt last lol

went to go to Southport tonight and didnt get very far, car hits a dead spot at about 4000/4500 revs, it will go to 5k but slowly and i didnt really wanna push it further

any ideas what could cause this, not had a chance to look properly yet, pretty sure my leads are on ok hopefully they are not buggered

ive no cat so its not that

my plugs have done about 6k at the most, as has the air filter, car runs on optimax all the time so the fuel system should be pretty clean and my injectors were cleaned out 6000 miles ago

under 4k it seems to be running fine, idle is good, normal running is good, just all of a sudden it hits a big flat spot at around 4k

once you hit 4k its as though its only running on 3, the power drop is that noticeable

have you checked bits like injector plugs mate? what about if you floor it at low revs does it pull clean to about 4k then die as such/?

it was an injector plug that had come loose !

thank god for that, i really should have checked that in the first place though, i know they sometimes come loose on the older clios
