Gutted TBH. I've just had the retail delivered today, but the serial key on the back of the manual is completely unreadable. Basically half of it is missing. I was looking forward to getting stuck into it tonight after giving up on the PS3 version ages ago due to the retarded controls. Now it seems I shall have to wait for a reply to a support email - and god knows how long it will take to prove I bought it.

I don't want to have to use any dodgy keygens or cracked exes. I also didn't realise it's a SecureROM game. Idiots.

I tried an 'acquired' version at first and it was a fecker to get running. Not long after that, I bought the retail version and at the end of the installation - it immediately checks & verifies for updates over the internet. Cancel that, and it disappears completely. No folder structure, no icons or anything.

Get a swing on though. Bioshock 2 won't be far off.

If you're getting headaches from it and you've got a widescreen TV, try turning off the horizontal fov lock in the menu.

I loved Bioshock. One of my favourite games ever.

I played it on the PC, not tried it on a console yet.

In what sense? Hard to coordinate? Hard to move? Personally I find it so intuitive. You go and shoot where you look, rather than tring to make the thumb smoothly aim where you're looking. If that makes sense? All I can say is keep at it, or give up and use the gimp pad

Theres a "1M" edition of the game somewhere, in other words, its easy to install, no pissing about cracking it n stuff, i was playing it before i formatted its very good actually, but being the idiot i am, i forgot to back the save files up.

Its just alien like trying to write with your left hand if your right handed. I am obviously used to the pad and prefer the pull of the triggers to shoot abd bring up the scope etc and yep am a hell of a lot quicker with sticks than a mouse lol, I will peresevere but ultimatly I suppose its what your used to

lol, let us know what you make of it Roy, I played it on the xbox but was one of the best titles I've played in years. Unique style of the environments etc and the brilliantly written script/reveal did it for me.

I have already sent the requested images.

It is becoming somewhat annoying waiting for a solution to this
problem. Perhaps I should return the game to the retailer? It is
clearly not fit for purpose. Or perhaps you would suggest that I
obtain it illegally, so that it actually works, and someone from take2
can pop over to my house and pickup the paid-for version that doesn't?

Whether or not a serial from you guys is forthcoming, rest assured I
will be playing the game within 24 hours, so it's your call. If I was
trying to play this game illegally, I could have done so several days

Not quite enough venom in that rant to them. The occasional 'tool' or 'muppet' wouldn't have gone amiss. I still think my DVD a la shat would be a much more suitable option.

I have to say, after attempt number 2 at this game, i am not impressed, it just doesn't feel right when your playing it, it doesn't feel like your in the game like it does with the very best games.

Finally got the c***s to give me a legitimate serial.

I've played the opening 20 minutes or so. Pretty damn good so far. Great audio! The visuals are good but nothing special. Good enough to enjoy the superb atmosphere. Already much more immersive than the PS3 version, but that's no doubt due mostly to my control preference (and better graphics at 1920x1200 with max AA&AF in the drivers)

I agree that the audio is brilliant. The visuals aren't too bad either.

The only downside being you can't save as jpeg, which means converting before uploading. Not that that would matter for you, as your screen res is so small.
