Bird Poo!FFS

Ok last week cleaned my car noticed 2 small spots on the driver door which were a bit dull so buffed them up with polish and there still a bit dull now, its monaco blue colour by the way.

Ive cleaned the car today and was lookin mint and now a bird has s**t on the tailgate, ive wiped it off and its left another dull patch?

What the hell is going wrong?

Ive clay barred and sealed the car like 5months ago and was fine has anyone else had problems like this?

Bird poo has an acid in it that will ruin your paintwork if left on for too long.. I think someone has mentioned things about wet sanding? :S

I made a noob mistake of using a sponge, but the green fluffy side , polished out though thank god.

Ive just done a search seems to me need Scratch x stuff from halfords, my mum goes ill go wipe it off, wonder what she used!im raving here, not in a dance way!

get some neutraliser for it spray it onto it then wipe it off

Renault paint is shite ! Never seen bird crap etch like it does on any other car. Seems to cause damage on impact. You will need to use a decent polish to remove the etching or maybe even a wetsand and polish.

Shocking stuff! Haven't had any on my car for probably over a year but they got me twice last week. Hassle having to go to tesco's water/air machine at lunch.

Keep a bottle of QD and a microfiber in your car.

Will have to from now then. One of the buggers got it where the headlamp meets the body work so loads went in the gap

Taken to avoiding parking near overhead wires or anything now.
