Bit disappointed with my CL5+ pads...

I'm finding the braking friction reduces quite quickly on the road when really, really pushed so not holding out much hope on track TBH. Don't get me wrong they still work when red hot just don't pull your face off like when they're cold/warm, I'd say the braking power reduces by 30% when really worked from higher speeds. Even thought it was the MTEC discs I had on so changed to my spare nearly new Brembo HC and they're still the same, just had new fluid as well and checked the callipers which are all free.

Anyone else found this? Or is this how they behave?

I'm surprised at that tbh as i have never found them to fade on track when i have use them an your pushing far harder on track than on the road. 20+ hard laps on track with no loss in braking effort

I have found them to work great with Ktec Black Edition Discs.
Done a. 15 lap stint on Brands Hatch Indy and they worked great no fade at all.

However that was on a 197 so I don't know if there is a difference with what your car runs.

I'll pull the pads as they could be glazed and i'll put some ATE TYP200 fluid and braded lines on to see if this helps. I can literally hit the stopper on the pedal at high speeds with no sign of ABS which isn't right, but they're great when cold/warm, weird one.

I can't get ABS to kick in on mine in the dry mate, too much grip.

Stick Motul RBF 600/660 in, much better.

Cheers mate, does the braking efficiency lower with yours when really, really pushed?

They're not as grippy as when i first fitted them, but it's now a consistent pedal on track and more than good enough.

They have a flat coefficient level so they shouldn't fade as they get hotter, should stay the same. If they feel like they are then it's probably the fluid.

I ran rc5+ in my track car for the last year or so and they do tail off in terms of initial bite after they've got properly hot but still work really well.
I've gone to rc6 now and they're noticeably much better, though far too grabby until I'd done a couple of sessions. Combine them with the £50/litre castrol srf fluid and i'm quite amazed at the difference over the old setup.
Used new hc discs with the new pads.
