Yes I cashed out my litecoin for around £78 profit.

Where can basic b**ch coinbase users buy it though??

It will probably come onto all platforms after they've properly launched it next year. But the price 'could' be a a lot higher by then.

So I'd recommend opening a Bitrex account. It's as easy to open as Coinbase. Only issue is you can't put money directly into it, you need to transfer from another wallet. So buy BTC on any platform and send it to the Bitrex wallet. Pretty simple to do, I've sent my monies there from Kraken by the same principle. (also if you don't want to hold BTC on there you can instantly sell it into USD and use the USD to work or buy other coins)

I believe you can also deposit ETH or LTC into the Bitrex wallet from other platforms too. Certainly shows me an option to now, but I haven't tried as I had some BTCs to move anyway.

I started with £200 or $260 dollars in My coinbase account 12 days ago half LC, half E

Now worth $644 or £484!

True ballers with serious cash invested must be agonising over wether to cash out or not

Registered on Coinbase on the 28th November, bought mixed BTC and LTC, both declined. Called bank and credit card provider (tried both) to no avail. Forgot about it for a bit.

Linked my bank account on the 6th December as BTC was shooting up, made a transfer, from which I paid fees, took 36 hours to land in coinbase.
Took a bit of a hit on the GBP/Euro rate overnight.
Looked in the morning and decided LTC looked a bit flat, so put it all in BTC at about £12200/BTC.
Sold out as it dropped through £11000, because looking at the fees it made sense to pull it on the drop and buy in low since it was dipping, but coinbase have some whacky exchange rates, so it wasnt just the fees, it was another few percent on top.
Bought back in at 11k on the upturn
So BTC is worth a little more than it was when I first bought, but I lost on shifting the capital from my bank into BTC and then from BTC to Euro and back so I'm down 20%.

Obviously BTC was doing really well until I bought some, and LTC was doing nothing until I didnt 😂

Had I been able to buy BTC when I registered in Nov it would have doubled.
Had I bought LTC when I got the cleared funds in Dec it would have tripled
Oh and I now cant sell BTC and buy LTC as coinbase have disabled all ETH and LTC buys.

Yeah agreed! I'm happy to leave the money in BTC and see where its ends up in 6-12 months, it's just funny and frustrating in equal measure to have missed two opportunities to be massively up!

I've nearly doubled my money with ETH, could have done a lot more if it was in litecoin! What's the forcast for Christmas holidays? Reckon they'll all take a dive? Tempted to gamble my holiday wages

So what's the easiest way to buy LC?
For a complete mong like me

Download the coinbase app. Register your details (took a while for mine, might have been a glitch though) and then you can buy Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum.

I've made a whopping £12 in a week with Bitcoin 😢😢

Everyone is expecting the bubble to burst, but what will be the thing that breaks it?

With other stuff like stocks or dodgy mortgages people have put too much money on them, then when it came time for those investments to pay out it became apparent they could not come up with the money and so caused a collapse.
It's also not like oil or anything where supply and/or stored inventory can cause fluctuations, the supply and amount of Bitcoin is kinda fixed and steady.
Traders will crash it. They're currently propping it up artificially

Has anyone had difficulty withdrawing through coinbase? Not tried it but heard someone say that most UK users are struggling to get their money out.

Yeah, me.

They ask you to send money to their Estonian bank account by SEPA transfer to verify your account. I sent money about two weeks ago (costing £10 in transfer fees, thanks Halifax) and they still haven't verified my account so I can't withdraw any cash.

f**king annoying but I know I can get money out by transferring BTC into Localbitcoin and selling it that way.

Trying to verify my account on Coinbase with my driving license but always comes back unable to verify, anybody else had issues?

Yep same. Been trying 3 days. Absolutely terrible.

It seems that if you go on customer reviews, every single exchange is bent or flawed.

Yup. Tried so many times one day it told me to try again in 24 hours.
Tried next day and worked first time.

I’m rather dubious about coinbase. They ask for a lot of information! Coupled with that ‘send us money so we can cash out yours’ sounds so wrong.
