Black 172 detail, and questions.

  Black Sheep
I made a balls up of my last thread with my photos ect so here goes a new one plus some questions. I was new to detailing so I asked you guys for advice and these are the products I bought. I went crazy with autoglym stuff cause it was on offer at halfords, but i got my recommended products and towels ect from clean your car.co.uk website and they turned up in two days which was good.

This is my question. This door has been in some kind of accident in the past and has been resprayed by a total cowboy cause the clear coat is peeling and flaking. Is thier anything I can do apart from a full respray. I was going to get the alloys refurbed but whats the point with this going on.

Here are the results using poorboys black hole polish and victorias concours wax.

This is actually the door in question.

My kneeling pad and a white rag. Dont worry JD I never picked the rag off the ground for a final buff:eek:

Looks good fella, respray is the only option with lacquer peel unfortunately. Shame there are some shoddy repairers out there.

Cheers guys Yeah I know the guy doing prob thought ha ha looks good now......just wait a few years and then say that when I am long gone. It is strange though cause the actual paint is really really good and the clear coat that has not peeled comes up with a really good shine.

Superb work. Looks so much better.

Can you apply Blackhole just like you would apply SRP?

really nice, is the black hole primarily for dark based cars or could i use something like that on my cup?
