Black Painted calipers. Pics

Hey,

Painted my Calipers black today. they where already so dirty they where black, but i wanted the gloss black look.

Jacked the car up, then supported with an axel stand each side.

Used Hammerite Smooth for the paint.

Prepared by Brushing, Cleaning with Wire Wool, then brushing.

Washed the dirty insides while i was at it:

Needed claying, or Tar remover really, but i was tired and it was spitting rain so i just put them back on.

Didnt get any finished with wheel shots on because it was raining. But will do When i get the car cleaned.

Still have to do the rear drums, But will another day.

Best colour to paint them too imo. standard non sport brakes are nothing to boast about and doing them black keeps them subtle yet tidy

Yeah, Pleased with the result. Ive got boring alloys, so nothing to shout about. Might have gone for silver if i had nicer alloys.

penetrating oil is good at cleaning the inner side of the rims just FYI when you do it again. Dont bother with claying far to mild.

yeah lol, the tesco stuff is the same but cheaper though
