Bleeding Brakes Phase 1 Clio172

  clio 172
Having decided to change the brake fluid and taken the advice of club members I bled the brakes in the following order with all the wheels jacked up and off the ground

nearside rear
offside front
offside rear
nearside front

I found that the new fluid came through at the rear reasonably quickly, noticeable by the change in colour, but there was no similar change in colour at the front on either side. I used a total of 1.5 litres of fluid split approx 50:50 each side.
Have I missed a trick and omitted something from the procedure or do I just continue bleeding for longer until the new fluid comes through at the front? What is the capacity of the system?

Any suggestions/ advice would be appreciated

Hello there!

You only need 1L of fluid to bleed the whole system fella.

If you sign up and become a full member there is a proper guide in the guides section which shows you a step by step walk through of how to bleed the brakes properly.
