Blocked rear wiper jets : (

Car  Clio
Ran out of screenwash. When it was filled up, there is the wiring sound sound when the lever is pushed but no water is coming out (rear windscreen).

Have tried pushing thin guitar string into the jets, using airspray etc but no sign of water. What should I try next?

Does the whiring sound indicate that there is definately water in the pipes? Should I concentrate on the main pipes from the front to rear of car, or keep trying to unblock the jets first? Am truly stuck!

Thanks.

Can you disconnect the pipe from the washer jet then see if you have any flow. The fluid may have not reached the end yet?

Try removing the rear spoiler (dead easy) and check that the pipe isn't kinked/collapsed at that end.

It could be the pump thats faulty, did you try to use it a lot while it was empty? My rear didnt work but when I replaced the pump (£8) it worked fine.

I'd look for the kink as previously mentioned, my front nozzles are notorious for this, simply unkink near the bonnet hindges and away they go

you can see if the water is going to the back on one side of the cr ( cant remeber which). if you lift up the long panel near the door sills, theres a clear tube which is wherethe water travels to the rear. Try uncovering that and have a look see if the waters travelling along it when you turn the switch.
