Blown Bulbs (LOTS)

I've got an '02 Mk2 Clio DCI 65. I've had it about three years and in that time it's blown about ten headlight (dip) bulbs. It's blown quite a few other bulbs in that time too, but mainly headlights. At £10 each I'm getting a bit fed up with it. Anybody know what might be causing the problem and if it can be fixed?

Something similar has happened to me... the N/S main beam bulb has blown 3 times on my 182 (trophy so normal halogen bulbs) since I've owned it from January, what could be causing this? Is it best to replace the pair of bulbs at once as I've only been replacing the blown one previously.

have you checked the filliment in the bulb to make sure that has blown and not a fuse etc?
