Bluetooth Headunit

Hullo! Thinking of getting this as replacement headunit.

Be far easier than installing handsfree kit as comes with mic and puts sound through car speakers. Can also get an Ipod box for £40 which is cheaper than denison.

Question is, anyone know if:

a) The dash display (clock etc) would still work, or can u get adaptor?

b) Can I get an adaptor for the steering wheel controls.

A) The clock will continue to work as normal

B) You will need to get adapters for the steering controls, you best bet to get the correct ones would be to look on autoleads website.

same sort of thing with blue tooth built in but a much batter system...

Did see it in Auto Express.

Looks quite good, but is £70 more at the moment, also not convinced by a built in mic?

Meh Sony xplod units are horrible in my opinion. Would rather have a Pioneer unit and Pioneer do an awesome BT unit for similar price to the Sony one.

but have you actually tried the pioneer blue tooth unit? if you had you would know how awful it is , no music streaming and the speaker quality is ...well ..pi$$ poor!
hence i got the xplode instead

Have you heard it in your clio side by side with your own speakers? If not you cant really comment. And also might not have been setup the same if you only heard it in a shop people do play with settings.

Music streaming well thats something that may be an issue but honestly i wouldnt not give a crap about id prefer to stick an MP3 cd in. Rather than having to piss about changing songs on a phone etc.
