Bodywork help?

Hey guys and gals, my girlfriends car, getting on a bit now and needs a littel TLC in the Rust dept. Its white so a good easy colour to match, but has anyone used the hammerite straight to rust, looks/sounds good, not too bother with a show room finish, just soemthing to stop the rust spreading, and get it looking a little better. Any experiences?

grinder + fibreglass + filler + primer + wet sand + paint + laquer = few months delay before it comes through again

hah, well yeah i dont really ahve the time to be doign that, so i thought this straight to rust stuff might just work, but noone i know has used it.

if you wanna just tidy it up how abut slap some stone chip protector stickers over it or somethin? as for the rust treatment, unless youve got rid of the rust it wont do bugger all, waste of time
