fitted new pads and discs last week and all has been good. Today though i seemed to get a grinding noise from what seems the front left, one of the ones i changed.
Its not all the time, seems to be more with heavy braking at low speeds.
any ideas?
did you clean the oil coating off the discs prior to fitting?
did you put a smear of copper grease on the pad backs?
did you get any of it on the disc?
are the pads properly fitted & secure?

i had a breif look, and there does seem to be a slightly visible line on the disc which could suggest a bit of dirt, but thought i would ask opinions before i take the wheel off so i have some kind of idea what to look for.
ill swing the caliper up tmora night, ill just have to take it easy into work and back.
i presume removing the pads and checking wont require a fluid bleed? silly question maybe, but im new to this mechanical stuff.
