brakes grinding

  Range Rover sport 4.2 S/C
Well when i bought the car friday the seller told me about this , he said its just rust and it will clean up , got the car home and the discs are clean theres a lip on the outside about 2 mm deap but its still making a grinding noise sounds like the front right disc

The car was stood for awhile on grass while he was away

Would it be best buying new discs and pads ?

Im going to get Brembo High Carbon HC 280mm and greenstuff pads from yozza if i need new ones

It may well be a seized caliper guide. I had this issue which meant the disc was wearing unevenly. Not difficult to sort of you are handy with a spanner.

Had a look today and the discs have shot it , its only done 12800 miles

The front side of the disc was ok but the back had alot of holes but the pads where fine ??

Got them all changed now i will post some pics of the old discs i can't believe how bad they where

Also got a milltek exhaust fitted today :)
