brakes rubbish in wet

I've got a 172 cup. When it's really wet the brakes take ages before they actually feel like they might stop the car any time soon. I guess it's while they heat up and vaporise the water.

I have cheapest pads I could find, so maybe that's a problem but they are fine in the dry.

Anyone else get this problem?

Any pads anyone recommends, for road and occasional track driving?

Mine are the same - absolutely shocking - pads are OEM Renault whatever is fitted as standard. Looking for a drilled od grooves disc upgrade with pads to match.

Brembo drilled front discs with ferrodo pads (OEM replacement 1's) Stops very sharp!

I've experienced this, usually after cruising on the motorway for a while without touching the brakes. I assume it is because they just get completely soaked and this reduces friction when you first apply the brakes.

Its actually worse with the Ferrodo DS2500s' I have now as they like some heat anyway! They are very good the rest of the time though
