Brakes squeeking nearly all the time

  Nissan 350Z
When I'm not using them that is. I can be driving along, and I'll hear my brakes squeeking, not constantly, but like on off as though you can hear the wheel rotating. It always seems to be as I steer towards the left hand side, and, if I straighten out or use the brakes it shuts up.

Last time it did this I took it to the dealer as it was doing it almost constantly. They said they "cleaned" the brakes and it stopped doing it, but now a few weeks later, its starting again.

Any ideas what it might be, and if the brakes are getting dusty as they were saying, what can I do to prevent it (apart from, it would seem, not using the brakes at all ;))

Sounds like the pad isn't sittig right you need to take the claiper off and check for anything wrong.

stip em down, get the wire brush out to the caliper housing, copper slip the back of the pads, refit,

job done

i had exactly that problem until sunday. new discs and pads cured it. cant say if it was the new discs and pads that sorted it or if something wasn't sitting right, but it needed new discs either way.

So, need to check pads, possibly discs, calipers.

I am inclined to believe its more than just dusty brakes, otherwise the problem surely would have been solved for more than a couple of weeks.
