Billet oil cooler plate.
I'll do my best to keep this updated if people are interested? I'll be building my gearbox up soon so I'll be able to add pics of that through the various stages.
Thanks, I like to do things right!Proper job this! I'm interested, please keep adding updates.
Thanks for the kind words mate, appreciate it.Please do Mark, we need people like you posting epic stuff like this mate.
This was born out of a distinct hatred towards itbs mate. Lol! Don't get me wrong, I appreciate what they do, but they're also like arseholes. Everyone has them.Keep the updates coming! I love a proper build and something that is done yourself and that isnt just slapping a turbo/itb's on an engine!
Cheers mate. You do know someone that can do stuff like this. Me! :wink:keep the updates coming, this and the gearbox are going to be amazing.
Love the uniqueness about this, just wish i could do something like this or knew some-one that could.
f**k you bum feeler. Fit your own hubs. LolI don't like it. 😂

No mate not a modine. It's going to be feeding my laminova oil cooler.Nice, is that a Modine same as the cup cars? Which box you using? You sticking with a jc5 or you picked up a Sadev now?
That made a tent in my trousers, if that was in front of me I'd be licking it quite a lot tbqfhwy :tongueout:Billet oil cooler plate. Lol! No worries mate I'll try my best.Keep the updates coming, you know I love photos and engineering p**n lol
Yeah it can be mate. That's why you don't run a thermostatic sandwich plate with the laminova as well. Can a Laminova heat exchanger be used to warm the oil more quickly?
interesting...off to the laminova site!Lol! No worries mate I'll try my best.

You'll wince when you see the price!!interesting...off to the laminova site!
Thanks. Yeah 1st to 4th are the staying the same but I'm running a meg 5th gear. Final drive is staying standard as well.Very nice Mark, are you keeping standard ratios?
Gear ratios? Standard mate jc5 129 mate. It's not all that clear in my reply looking back.Whats the 2nd and 3rd? :/
Lol! No worries mate - I know the feeling!!Haha sorry thought you had said 1st and 4th... Been a long day mate.
Cheers Tim. I'm trying not to think about that! Lol! Sub 8:15 is still the target though, but in 2015 I'm not sure unfortunately.Looks great, bet you can't wait to get this to the 'Ring!
Flol! The oil won't stay in this box mate.
You may have gears in a box but it doesn't make it a gearbox. 😂😂
Thank me later.
Thanks. It's all just a bit of fun tbh. I like to do things differently too. If it was all out N/A performance I was after I'd have to choose itb's, but that's not the aim with this for me.Why have I only just seen this? Everything in this thread is awesome!
Be very interested to see what the engine makes with that spec. Really like it that you have gone a different way and not used itb's.
Thanks! I try my best!As I said in my email Mark all I can say is wow
That is the smallest laminova mocal do mate. It was originally used on my Astra Quaife straight cut gearbox. It used to have overheating issues from anything over 150-160mph and this cooler was boss of the job!!that laminova looks smaller than I thought it would be, expected something 30cm or so for some reason.
that box in bits looks worriying, you gonnan assemble that yourself?
do the R3 pistons/rods do anything with the rod ratio?
Lol no mate. It was a slur on the fast and furious film. LolThey make jc5 psrts in japan?
Pray tell...
