im going to pop down to a local place that i know does wheel refurbing on saturday and ask, it wont do any harm.
emailed rota and asked them for a price for a single sub zero alloy, it cost me £220 two years ago for all four with brand new tyres more or less and looking at the price of four on rarerims.com its not going to cost me far off that for one i recon.
think im going to be keeping a look out for some 172 alloys on here when i have cash, cambelt and water pump on thursday
Fixing buckled, cracked, bent wheels is easy for proper wheel repair place, it's what rally teams do when working on budget as magnesium wheels are very expensive new so repairing is cheaper.
there are others but these are two I have seen wheels repaired from. I've used the first one to repair some integrale wheels which were like eggs, and afterwards needed no more than 15g og weights to balance with tyres, they were better than new.
But only worth it if cheaper than a new wheel, or wheels are rare and NLA.
Speak to Wheel Repair Centre in Preston, Naith will have contact details if you cant find them, they are top place and do amazing things to damaged wheels.
iirc, you can knock shape back into them with a large hammer but the more you knock/hammer the metal the harder and more brittle it becomes so sometimes you can end up cracking it just trying to get it back into shape.
