Bugs - but not the usual type of thread.

So you've spent hours cleaning... given a final rinse with demon shine... get the water magnet out...

...and you realise that your roof is covered in live bugs, AFTER you've started drying it.

So now that you've smeared your roof with beetle juice, do you need to worry about the damage it will cause to the paint on your rapidly depreciating french car??!

ie. do you get the QD out, and fight a losing battle with the bugs, or do you just live with it?

I have the same problem, being LY they swarm it in the nice weather.

I just blow them off before wiping or applying anything over it. Once you start to get something on there they generally are attracted to it less. Must be the smells of the polish/ wax's

Nothing to do with the fact your car is bright yellow then.....:rasp:

Dave, anyone with a yellow/orange/bright red (mine!) car is going to have this issue more so than others :(

There is no real way of beating them, apart from taking the car into the garage once washed.

No just the bright colours. Flowers are brightly coloured to attract insects to pollonate them.

Not seen the yellow t-shirt trick in summer?

it is to do with the car being a bright colour, but once it starts to get the smell of wax etc they seem to be attracted to it less than when it's freshly washed is what I was trying to say.

Bright colour attracts them. The shallow water source then is of interest to them as they can drink.
