Too right. It should be savored over like a decent bottle of red. Waft in it's aroma of newness. Feel the click of each board finding it's home into the motherboard slot and tightening up each screw ever....... so...... slightly. Marvel in its construction and self pride as you go to press the O/I button for the first time....
Luddites and infidels merely rip off their Argos ticket from the outer packaging - slap a Forza DVD in and think that that's it.

Will start the build soon, only got my camera phone so that will have to do.
When it comes to install windows. Should I create a partition on the drive or not, if yes how big for windows? I never have in the past but don't want to regret not having done so in the future.
Do I just put windows on teh 50gb? Or office too... Whats the benifit of doing this?
Benefit is if you do need to format in the future you only format the 50gb partition windows is on. Everything else stays exactly the same.
Makes formatting, installing new OS's etc much easier and faster.

RAID1 isn't great for running games on tbh, especially software RAID1
Okay, i'm stuck.. Nearly finished the build, just got the SATA cables to plug in.
But which port do I use?!?
I have one hard drive and one DVD RW.

Never bothered with RAID myself. My machine uses an old Raptor for the OS and a s**tty 200GB for program files, 90% of which is empty. I have nothing on my game rig apart from Steam and a few games. Those two discs have done me proud for quite a few years now. HDDs rarely have an impact on in-game performance anyway so it's not something that concerns me.

by the looks of your board you only have one sata input. Guessing you'll have to get and ide dvdrw drive and only have one sata hdd

Doesn't really matter because you can set it in the Bios but I am anal like that.
Hard Drives in 1-4 starting with OS drive on the first Sata

Two things. I wasn't able to partition (read couldn't figure is out). I know its not the end of the word but is there a free program I can partition it with now?
One item I forgot to purchase was a Wireless Card, any recmendataion. Always had Linksys in the past and never had an problems, any reason to steer clear now?

Found a couple of old 300gb SATA drives, so they now hold all my docs/ vids/ pics.
