Lee did us a VERY special favour, so at least we can start the season while we work on other things.

Will not know times yet, might get final instructions late next week.

We are not in the pits, we will be in the outer paddock at the bottom of Paddock hill bend, and no, no passes needed, free to have a wander around.

Which are the most competitive cars?

I love my clio and its gay that its not allowed to compete, I even asked if I could do it with penalty but 100% no sequential boxes allowed, I guess it'd be the start of more money, saying that, the amount some of the other clio guys have spent would equal a mk2 cup racer money.


Any danger of a go in your clio if you take mine out? Just to see how they compare.

I'll be bringing a fresh set of AO48s, a good set of R888's, set of decent slicks too.

She should be able to move with them shoes.

Darn sight better than the joke that is time attack.

Any racing is 'cheque book' racing so long as their isn't a 'power to weight' system. But I would say tin tops does look good. However, anyone with a little track experience could win it if they simply said 'build me a dc2 with a 250hp k20 and ohlins'. Which is a shame but that is motorsport. Unless its single make....then it comes down to 'who knows the cheats'.


I remember going testing once and a guy was there with his v.w cup car, a truck load of new slicks/wheels and he was doing 4 laps per set, all day spent on fresh slicks to understand better how to push during that first few laps. Cost him 15k for the day including the team with him. Madness! Wasn't even a touring car driver, just a amateur with cash and not really a good amateur but he had the money to get him better.

Money comes 1st in motorsport, luck 2nd and talent 3rd.
