Buying a 2002 V6 Clio ??

Hi,

I have been thinking of the above now for ages & have spotted a perfect 02 Model with 23,000 miles.

Are there any faults to look for ?? How tuneable are they & do they really have the Grin factor ??

I will be moving from the Dark side Cough, Erm, An Sti 7, Cough.:evil:

You can tune them but its very expensive there 4 cams rarther then 2 in the 172/182 there 6 cylinders so 6 injectors. Plus there quite heavy.
I suppose you have to drive one to know if you want one a Cup in 99.99% of owners is quicker on the road and track and less touchy. However thats not what the V6 is truly about.

the thing with the v6 is that it looks awsome and people will stop and stare. but in a cup they prob wont! depends what you are after really!

Owning a Vee is much less about out-and-out performance (tho' it's hardly slow despite the Cup jibes) and is much more about the whole "experience". There a not many affordable cars that give as special an experience as a Vee!

the Vee is quick but not really quick, it gives u a great feeling every time you drive it and the noise fantastic.....overall my Vee will always feel more special than when i had my 172 before even if it isn`t as reliable, ie coils packs are useless.....

i dont own a V6, but would love one... not due to the speed.

recently i have enjoyed pottering about at normal speeds in the 172 just enjoying owning the car, and knowing in the back of my mind that what i own is special in it own way.

I think thats what V6 ownership is all about

seems like everybodys into the 172's rather than the v6 or 182, but anyway.....ive driven both & personaly i do like the 172cup better because its a nice hot hatch & to me the 172 felt quicker, but the v6 does have rear wheel drive which is a BIG BONUS if your a show off & love dounuts ect! also has some sexy wide arch's & will grab loads of attention, because you dont see them every day!

but at the end of the day its your choice!
ps, when you get it let me have a spin in it, i would like to bring back my memories!
