I have found what will possibly be a cheap car to play around with, it has some test, but it is 100mile away and it has no tax 
According to the FAQ on "Day Insure" it is technically possible to tax a car using this, but has anyone had any direct experience of this? http://www.dayinsure.com/faqs.aspx#78
They do state "At the sole discretion of the individual post office and we cannot guarentee that it will be acceptable", so that is why I am asking for actual experiences.
Dayinsurance won't cover the car though, but http://www.insuredaily.co.uk/ will for £26
