Buying a laptop

Anyone got any recommendations of where to buy a laptop from? I'm looking to spend between £700 and £800 quid... I know that Dell have some decent deals on at the mo (double mem, free delivery etc.).

Also does anyone reckon prices will fall big time in the new year?

dell are the best bet, laptops are starting at 420 with 1.something GHz, 40GB 512MB RAM, Wifi, not bad for the money.

I bought a sony widescreen with the x-black display, its excellent for the film, plus ultra thin for carrying around.

Go to currys, buy the whatever happens protection and throw the laptop down the stairs when you get bored of it.

got mine from ebay - sony vaio, guarantee is with sony so no probs there, I figure ebays fine as long as you collect it and pay then. Save about £200 off the chapest internet price.
