caesed adjuster ring on coilovers

  182, 6r GTi
iv tried everything i can think off, I have tried using penetrating spray, putting my C-spanner on a bar and heating up the ring with a blowtorch.

i haven't had any luck with any of these :(

is there anything else i can try before i finally give up and buy a new set of coil-overs?

any help most appreciated

thanks Steve

I had this, take the coilover off the car, stick it in a drip tray full of coke over night, will be mega clean and work in the morning. Then sit back and think about what it does to your insides.

Dont buy cheap coke.

What are the bodies of the coilovers made from. Do a little test and stick a simular piece of metal in a glass over night.

We unseized my mates by using plenty of (gradual!) heat and penetrating spray.

They had been siezed for over a year but 30 minutes of playing about sorted it.

Remove them from the car as well, makes life a lot easier.
