cam/aux belt service details

I have read alot into the servicing, and am on the quote stage. (5 years old this month, 50500 miles currently)

I noticed a cam service doesnt usually include the price of the normal service? so im looking at around;

£600 for,

- 'A' service (normal, filters, oil, etc) +,
- pulleys
- cambelt
- aux belt
- labour

does that sound right???

you can spred the cost over time or do the service yourself.

im just thinkin cuz they'l have certain parts of the engine out it would be easier, but fair comment about spreading the cost.

i dunno if i fancy doing some of the things myself tbh?

I'll help you do the other bits on a Sunday mate, very easy. You could even get the engine cover
Oil and filters etc are so easy to do.

I work on sundays and you work saturdays. so i'll have to investigate closer to home for a spot of DIYin. thanks for the offer tho!

have spoken to them for a quote. it is a trek, like 110 miles north, and portsmouth is like 110 miles south (for rentech) love where i live lol!

the price they quoted was basically what i said in the OP, so was just seeing if people usually get the whole lot done in one go, or just the belts...

I paid 570 @ rentec for full genuine cambelt and aux belt kits that's with vat included.

I do want to get a service just for the stamp, but I have done the filters myself tbh.. and the oil, as a for now solution until after my holiday.
