Cambelt and Auxbelt change

I've got a Phase II '02 plate 172 that I've owned for about 2 months now, it had 49k miles when I bought it but has only been serviced twice! :O

The last one was about 8k miles ago, due to age and mileage though it will need the belts doing.

What sort of price should I be looking at for this? I'm aiming to stay away from the dealer, and thinking of using West End Garage here in Leeds that is recommended by quite a few people on here.

As an aside, I presume the oil will be changed too. Any recommendations? I was thinking of using Miller Oils XFS 5w40 fully synthetic, I do about 15k miles a year and so need something decent!

get it done now, it could snap 2morrow, i wouldnt drive it till the day u have it booked in, the last one i did (work for renault) the bill was £714

Theres your first tip, don't take it to Renault!!!

Your be looking at £400 for both and a service really at a good garage.

If you down south i'd go to, Carlton garage - Exmouth, Rentech - Portsmouth & K-Tec Verwood, Dorset.

Well it is true I got mine done just the other week. Based in Huddersfield so not to far and he is a cambelt specialist too. With new spark plugs, oil and everything for the 5 year service you will be looking at about £400 all in (as Dan says).
