Haha well I do have the belt kit in the car and I have done a lot more research and I now have met several folk who are local and can help me with it as they have done it before, been buying parts of a boy with 2 sunflower ph1's and everyone near me with ph1 know him and now has become easier to do it on my own. Still haven't done yet though I was doing the alternator belt kit which I done with no problems when I figured out how to loosen the tensioner and noticed my belts had been changed before they were timing marks all over the dephaser and exhaust but I reckon it was just the belts and nothing else was changed. My plan is still maybe do it myself after I get a new dephaser for it and a couple of other bits Al rip the engine out and then get it done at a mates bit and do the clutch and that too. So far I still haven't spent £1100 on it including buying it and had much fun out of it already and it still has no sign giving up hitting almost 80,000 which is about 5 or 6000 more than when I was discussing the belts with everyone. Now I have pissed about inside the bay it isn't as daunting as it was made out to be and the reason I didn't try doing it yet was because I have just been reading and watching folk do it so I can get the gist of it. My mate is taking his to be done at rentech because he doesn't want to mess with it, I on the other hand don't care I have had my money's worth out of it and I don't mind doing the work myself I don't mind paying someone to but it's my car and I will do te work to it, it's easier now knowing folk who have done them and can help me do mine as there is a dephaser locking tool which gets passed round where we live so I will do it one day, I do like the car but it's just a car at the end of the day and it's going fine the now it can wait a wee bit for the belts to be done till ready haha
