Camber Help Please :(

  Titanium 182
Hi guys, finally found a garage that had a camber gauge and took it in today to get the Eibach camber bolts readjusted to take all of the negative camber out as it's not for me. Anyway I took it in and he immediately asked if the car was lowered. After I told him it was he said he couldn't touch it as his gauge works of standard height... Anyway he gave the car a free alignment check and here are the results! Toe looking pretty pretty much spot on but camber is wayyyy out!

As you can see it's a little more that -1.5 a side! Really want to get this back to 0 before my new tires go on but how the hell do I do it?! The mechanic (who I think was slightly retarded) told me I would be best doing it manually and just go by sight until the tires look straight...
Surely they can set the camber gauge to manual and just adjust until it gets to 0?!

Thanks for any help guys, by the way the front 2 tires are almost worn through on the inside so need to get some new rubber asap

I've never heard of a garage say their camber gauge only works on standard ride height. Try a specialist or just get Lawrence to send you the standard hub bolts if he's still got them.

He sent them ages ago but Royal Fail lost the item! So should I find another garage then that knows how the use the bloody camber gauge? Feel like I'm going in circles

Someone might come along and correct me. I personally don't like kwikfit, I'm surprised they gave you something for free! But yeah try another garage

Haven't these got about 1 to 1.5 deg as standard anyway. Never heard such toss as well. Might as well get some standard bolts from Renault, or put a wanted thread up, should be loads of people with these kicking about.

Once you've altered the camber, you will need to get the toe altered, as it will change.

I've never been a fan myself however I tried 6 garages and they (the 7th) were the first local one I found with a camber gauge, some garages hadn't even heard of it! Shocking. Well I will try to find another garage and speak to them on the phone prior to going down.

Was he just speaking crap when he said he can't adjust as the vehicle is lowered?

As Tony said mate I think they're 1 degree standard. I'll try find my standard hub bolts tomorrow

That would be brilliant if you could find them mate I'll PayPal you across the £££. If I install original bolts I presume I then go and get the toe adjusted not the camber (as surely the camber will be correct on the standard bolts)

I should imagine so mate, get them to check it all and see what needs rearranging

Ok, well if it's original bolts back on I can I can choose my normal garage for the alignment as no need for camber gauge. Not a lot of reputable garages around here lol

Standard my car was around -0.3 to 0.5 on the front, I got camber bolts and now run -1.5 on the front with t1r's and the wear is very even now. I drive a lot of dual carrage ways and country side roads.

i also run 2mm of toe out across 15" wheels
