camber values

Had an accident last may, the front left corner was damaged, was pretty expensive to fix but done it eventually..
changed the front shocks, both lower arms (bushes and ball joints included of course), new anti roll bar with poly bushes (all 4), new subframe, k-tec solid top mounts etc.
Basically everything damaged or suspected to be damaged was changed, and was pleased to see the car driving better than before the accident.
Question is, why I'm always under the impression that my front camber is neutral compared to a friend's 172 for example or an identical RB 182 FF? have to add that all the parts except solid mounts and poly bushes were renault originals.
The day the car went out of the service and the tracking was done it had about -0,4 and about neutral on the other side on the front.
Any ideas on this? thanks!

Mmm I think -0,4 is ok for a car without camber bolts. Are you sure your friend's hasn't got them?

Mine was around those value, and asymmetric too, without the bolts, now it's around 0,9 and 1,1.

no the friends have stock cars(without the camber bolts, i've checked ;) ). viewed directly from behind you can see how the front camber is different in my car

they have been ordered at the dealer and the car fixed at the same location. could the lower arms be the ones of a non cup 182 maybe? would they fit? I know the ball joint has different holes and maybe different size?

edit: the hubs remained intact after the crash so they are the cup ones with the 60 mm spacing. worst case scenario I can imagine is the left strut top being moved towards the center of the car in the crash but this would've gave me more negative camber so this is kinda weird
read somewhere here that if you undo the hub bolts and move the hub a bit you could probably get a little more negative camber (half a degree maximum at the most)

went last night to a car park and had some fun with the car but then seen this an wondered if some negative camber would help..

you can see how much flex the tyre suffered, was wondering if I could throw in some camber bolts on the stock dampers
do you think 1-1,2 neg camber on the front would be too much for road use and occasional b road blast?
thx!

Mine has the same. One is neutral. never been crashed.

The manufacturer value is from -0°59’ to - 1°02’ with a tolerance of +/- 30'. Your worst case would be to have only -0°29’ of negative camber.

is you -0,4 in degrees or minutes. this looks ok. The other side lacks some negative camber, which can be due to not spot on fitting. Fitting can change the camber values if you know what I mean.

are they the eibach ones? where did you get them? I suppose you're on them for a while, is the tyre wear a problem? and how is the handling, worth the hassle of getting them?
cheers!

Eibach or H&R...I bought them on k-tec. Tyre wire is BETTER! I use the car everyday on b-road and sometimes on the motorway. I bought them because I had different angles between R and L, so with the bolt I was able to put them both at -1,1°.
