Thinking of performance cams in the future for my 172 cup. What do people on here recommend/use??

It says 'The cam profile has been chosen as it works well with the standard ecu meaning the engine retains a very good tickover'. Does this mean that they are intended for fast road use more than track use and would i need a steeper profile/angle for higher rev gains?
My car is becoming a dedicated track car so will not be driven around town or slowly. Also, in the distant future i may consider throttle bodies so would i need completely different cams or is there a cam which would work well with breathing mods and then TBs in the future?
