Icarus for cheap CamsFred to fit them.
Pick up some matched inlets frome Jamsport or angel works,
Then head to RStuning leeds to get it all mapped up.
Cos if you are going to do it, you have to do it properly![]()
Only problem there is the 20 million different company involvement, I'd personally only ever take a car one place to get the lot done for piece of mind and liability, but I had to learn the hard way lol
if you have your mind made up on cams I'd say thats the way to go about it personallyOh, for cam profile dont listen to anyone advising of Cat 420's, be warned now that these are basically billet stock cams for all intents and purposes, the 428's are the ones to go for if you get Cat ones (which I think for their price and performance are best VFM on these cars)
Yes because 428's will run REALLY well in a 197/83X................
You need 402's or 403's for an 830 engine i.e. a 197. 403's will be a struggle to get running on the standard engine control but not impossible. 402's are proven in Kev's 197. Speak to Paul at RS Tuning regarding what he thinks is doable cal wise on your budget. RS Murray can fit the cams for you, just round the corner from RS Tuning.
Cheers

yep have decided to get all the work done at rs tuning/rs murray just gunna get the breathing mods done first exhaust and a decent filter then it will be ready for the inlets and cams remap etc also it will be the 402s i go for.
regards mark,
ps im still learning/reading up on and about cams etc so the more info posted the beta!
i have fancied going the cam route, but mild cams dont excite me much and its alot of expense for small gains. if you want to do it or have people that can do the work fair enough. for me £2k of mods for 20bhp isnt enough
