Can a mk 1 phs 3 be put on a computer at dearlers?

HI

im having a problem with a 1998 mk1 phs 3 1.4rt clio... it lacks power when going up hill at speed. for example a motorway. it pulls fine going down hill and on flat roads butgoing up hill the revs gradually fall and i end up doing approx 50mph till the road flatens off then eventually ill get bk to motorway speed.
It doesnt matter how far i push the accelerator!

Everything looks fine in the engine bay, i mean nothing is not conected.

But im wondering what could be the problem???? Is it a sensor or componant???

Can i take it to a dealer and put it on a computer there or is the car too old to be able to do this??????

should be fine mate, they should all still have the old diagnostic equipment aswell as the new 'clip'

change down a gear might help? :s

Have to do this all the time on any sort of hill in the 1.2

Yes they should if they have XR25.

I found this a bloody problem at some garages.
Going up a hill in a mark one, change down a gear.
