Can miles out tracking etc camber cause big failure

  evo 6rs/clio 172
I had these fitted to the max negative camber (camber bolts)
Way to much -5 on a quick gauge set up,,
Going in tomorrow for a full geo as miles out
When I corner left now it feels like on rumble strips like the tyre is being killed
Does this indicate the set up is miles off
What do you reckon I should set it at for rd and odd trackday -2 on the frt
cheers
Amazing if geo miles out can make it terrible

Can't be mate as was ok this morn till changed the camber bolts
Will no more tomorrow after the geo mate

I suppose I could take left bends out of gear so no drive,,,
Surely if still does it its not a drive shaft

If the cars low and got loads of camber, your driveshaft will be banging in the gearbox i'd imagine.

I had that on my mk1 when I did the shell swap and just bolted everything back in quickly. Once it had been lifted up a bit and the million degrees of camber removed, it was fine.

Yes thinking about it you guys might be right
Its fairly low on cooksport springs
I guess the stock bolts in it might of only been say -0.5 degree
Now just thrown back with the camber bolts its a daft -5 degrees
What you guy advice no more than -2 degree on a lowered car
I have not hardly used the car since so just hope I have not damaged anything
Thanks

It feels horrible because the toe is massively out after adding camber.

For the road I'd go for -1.5° - but that depends on on the rest of your setup, tyres and ultimately how much uneven tyre wear you're prepared to put up with.

That said, I'm not convinced you have reached -5° camber with Eibach bolts. How did you measure it?

it was only a rough guide mate from a garage on a steel ruler with a gauge on the alloys
You can see by the eye it's far to much
The top of the tyre is a fair bit into the arch
I put the bolts in like directed on another thread with the lobe facing me for max camber

Right an up date
Had a alignment done it was miles out since the camber bolts were added
He had to track it up a lot which seems odd from just adding bolts
It still makes a rumbling noise from the n/side tyre
I think it might be a drive shaft but its only at -2 deg now which I have been told shouldn't be a problem even on a lowered car
Its well odd as was good no noise on stock bolts
Any ideas guys ..I have had a look for rubbing on the inner arch but cant see any evidence of this

Right took the car to a lot better geo guys at it was a daft -3.6 neg which is to much on a lowered car
I have it set to -2.2 neg now and its cured the rumbling noise yipeee
