I used the last offer just before christmas, sent the required barcodes/serial numbers etc, and not heard a thing back, apparently it's a realy, really slow process.

The savings are good though, just shouldn't have to chase up on stuff 6 weeks+ later.

I got £50 cashback on my 400D last year, its now gone down to £45 cashback this year. That makes me.... £5 up (not including inflation) :rasp: LOVELY!

My credit card is out of my wallet waiting for the clock to strike midnight!

I will have to get my kit from a shop over here as I need to claim the VAT back, I wont be able to do that with Kerso unfortunately but the 19% discount will be worth it. :D

Went for a drive today and picked up these.....

I had to force myself to leave before I picked up two other lenses too! I had enough explaining to do when I got home to the Mrs..... "I had to buy them, I saved 210 Euros by buying them!!".... I'm not sure she bought it but I am loving my new toys.

The difference between the feel of this one and my old 350D is amazing. Everything from the shutter click to the door for the CF card just seems nicer. The machine gun 6.5 FPS is awesome too. With the 430EX attached, it looked like we had a disco strobe going in the lounge. :)

^^ Good taste sir.

Planing on getting the 10-22 and a Sigma 30mm F1.4 before too long... I'll let my account recover from this lot first though. :D

i want something wide but don't want to get stuck with a efs lens in case i change to a full frame body?
i am thinking about the 17--40 f4L?

  Cupra
I don't think that there is enough of a difference between the wide ends at 17 and 24 to justify it surely? The new version is 16-35 too I think.

I definitely would not bother with the F4 but the F2.8 might be more useful. I dont know how second hand prices are in the UK but over here, second hand 10-22's sell for 50 Euros less than they do from the shops! If I do every move to full frame (unlikely as this is just a hobby) then I am fairly confident that I will not take a huge hit on the sell on value of the lenses.

On a side note, I am a bit worried about the focusing on my 40D (problems reported all over various forums). The photos look nice on the PC in high res and the 100% crops are also good but if you zoom in on the camera itself, you get a really blury image. Is yours the same? (just for my peace of mind!)

its coz of the low res screen mate, unlike the VGA on d300. boo.

also instead of sending my 40d back now, the company have offered to send me a march invoice to get my cashback. pmsl. fraud all the way baybee.

  Cupra
Yep.... superbly. I'll even do a video clip for you to see how long it keeps up for.

I managed around 10 raw files yesterday at 6.5 fps without the flash missing a beat. Proper paparazzi style. lol
