Car Cleaners! Help Required!

Somehow theres dried on cement on the inside of the front wheel arch, along the underside of the sill and splashes on the bottom of the drivers door. I suspect that its come from the building site next door to the local Renault dealers as the car has made three visits there in the past two weeks - I suspect Im not to blame, but nothing can be proven....

How can I get it off??? Its not caked on, although underneath the sill its pretty heavy. I dont want to start rubbing etc as its going to wreck the paint. Tried the pressure washer, but not much luck there either.

Help!!!!

yeh get it wet to start with, then get it pressure washed off, do not try to rub it off by hand unless the pressure washing doesnt work, i doubt that the cement will had adhered to the paint to much

Tried to remove some cement from an alloy wheel on a mates car, nothing would take it off.

Get some TFR on it mate, see if you can get down to a hardware store or car spares store .

Its also known as truck wash as its used to wash bits on trucks that you cant reach.

Should get it off!

is this truck wash stuff any good as a pre wax wash or is it too harsh? i was wondering if there is a was thatll strip the wax - i know washing up liquid can do this but from what ive read here its too salty(?) to use regularly

Autoglym traffic film remover will do a good job of taking off all old wax.

The AG engine and machine cleaner halfords sell is the same stuff.

Ive tried soaking it and blasting with the pressure washer. The only thing that seems to get it off (the hairline splashes anyway) is to gently pick it off with my fingernail. Not ideal, and very time consuming. Its stuck on pretty hard.

Fortunately, most of it is out of sight - but as I suspect that the concrete contains lime - its going to wreck the paint so I want to get it off.

Ill try some TFR in a discreet place - Thanks for the help guys!

yeah, i wouldnt reccomend it unless you have to, it will fade the paint if used regularly

The Autoglym Catologue lists about 6 different Traffic Film removers.

Looking at the descriptions Powermax 3 and 4 will be fine on paint .

Multiwash PM3 is medium strength would go for that one.
