Car detailing products help, Meguiars, AG, Poorboys etc

Right i'm going to give my car a nice good clean soon and need some new products, i want a nice show car finish and so far the products i've brought are:
Meguiars gold class shampoo
Meguiars Clay
Wash mit
Applicator pads

I know i'm missing quite a few products, looking to buy Meguiars Deep crystal, Poorboys Nattys Blue Carnuba wax, AG EGP.

Anyone recomend anything else or anything better, also what stages should i do things in lol?

Gold Class + wash mit = excellent purchase.

Bought mine a couple of weeks ago. The Gold Class gives a real good shine after you've dry the car.

www.PolishedBliss.co.uk is an excellent site for all the how to guides. As for the products I think its best just to get the best you can from the shops you go to. Unless you order off the internet.

XXX Hardcore Pure White Carnauba Paste wax . Easiest on i've used by hand , even easier off .

Microfiber applicators , better than the yellow megs foam ones imo .

Plush Waffle Weave Drying Towel , one towel will dry the whole car .

working by hand - I would go with

Meguiars Gold Class and a Wool mitt - to wash
Meguiars Scratch X - for your swirl removal
Autoglym Super Resin - for your light polishing/paint cleaning
Autoglym Extra Gloss - Sealant
Nattys Blue or P21s - wax

The above leaves a great finish, great protection and wont cost the earth.

Vinnys got quite a hard colour to work with too, but pay attention to the guys on poishedbliss and abuse ur discount at seriousperformance and ask the guru Rich or brazo for advice and ur laughing mate let me know when its done and well get some piccies

I've done more or less the same as Rich as mentioned above on my car before (forgot the claying Rich ) and it came up a treat, I've got the products Billy has said above now but I'm just waiting for a decent day to do it as it keeps raining.

yeah i must admit platinum silver isnt the best colour but oh well.

I would use Autoglym Resin and Extra Gloss, then wax.

Just done a silver 172 today. Another aproach if you have a PC.

i've got meguiars gold class shampoo & gold class wax, megs applicator pads, megs scratch x & megs terry towel. so far so good, got to get some interior cleaner/detailing brushes
can anybody recommend anything?

Yeah - I recommend you ditch the Gold class wax as it is poo!

Look into a good pure carnuba wax like P21s or Nattys Blue.

Order is spot on - you may need something like Meguiars Scratch X before the AG SRP is you have any swirls or defects to fix.

Used XXX hardcore wax and the shampoo and wax, also the top cost sealant from CarWashnWax today and really pleased with the results.

The stage at the end that your on about I might suggest this Top Coat Sealant

I used this today from CarWashnWax and it was very good, left the paintwork very shiny and with a good reflexion.

Yep, did mine with OCW for a few weeks and it really makes a difference.
