Looks good.

Be interesting to gauge how desperate he is for a sale with the job loss situation.

Already offered £3.2 and would not take this so even if I get it for £3400 I would be chuffed tbh, I have to factor in my travel costs aswell as its about 180 miles away from me

They bought jan 2010 so it's now outwith the 12 month period sadly. And why are cars in Newcastle etc always cheaper ?

because ur up north, and everything is cheaper for some reason, e.g. average selling price of a clio 1.2 dynamique in west london £3k, scotland & NORTHERN AREAS £1.6kl! hence why alot of dealers buy cars up there to shift down south

Its been for sale for 25 days, that in itself would put me off.

A good 182, at that price would go quickly.

I'd go along with £3k in my pocket, & offer him £2.5k.

If he's jobless he'll be getting desperate.

Not really, but then the people that have driven down the cost of Clio Renault Sports are the folk on this forum.

doubt it, do you think this forum is the be all and end all of the car market? A MASSIVE NO!

its the running costs & rioff parts which have driven the values of these cars down, you can break a 182/ 172 to more than there retail price these days.

tax £220 quid
cambelt £700
insurance £1500 quid = these r the sort of RIPOFF costs which hammers down the values

they'll level off around the £2-2.5k mark as you can rarely buy a smashed one for <£1k

its great for the buyers but a massive shock for them who paid £6-7k for one 15months ago!!!

More than likely started with a higher price?

Now after 25 days hes getting desperate and started to lower it ;)

Looks clean tbh.

This is exactly what happened, they needed rid of asap as his wife was losing there job and had a mortgage to pay so as the time got closer to her losing the job she lowered the price to sell quickly, which they did

yea ali mate, those people wont be happy, simple fact is that big engined cars are taking a big hit depreciation wise and unfortunately all the renaultsport brand is beginning to show this. I mean who would have thought you would be able to buy a v6 for 6k and under?

Car runs great, exactly as described and as it looks in the photos, only problem (to me as a valeter) is that the front has a few stone chips so when i have money this will be painted and it will be like new again

Some of what you are saying is accurate. Some not so...I'll explain further.

1st of all. CS has a culture of cheap skating!! I.e. For sale Complete 182 interior. £400 ono....CS response... I'll give you £150...Fcuk right off. Your comment about bringing cash isn't valid, as bankers drafts are every bit as good as cash!
2nd. The price of RS parts with exception of the V6 is relatively cheap! We have group buys, dealers and specialist parts available to the consumer.
3rd £1500 for insurance??! Can't imagine what the insurance is like on the M400 then!

I agree, they will level off around the figure you mention. Which in essence is why they are now driven my little morons! They are a very quick car, and dangerous in the wrong hands!

I would also question your theory that all cars are cheaper up here...From my experience it's the opposite. I bought my cars down south...I suppose it depends on make and model!

The ONLY people that would have BEEN stupid ENOUGH to pay more than 6k for a 182 15 months ago are TROPHY owners.

Running COSTS? Are you serious? Its a hot-hatch not a fcuking Polo Diesel, its ABOUT the CHEAPEST hot hatch you can buy and run, it is pricey but if you want to drive one thats the cost you pay.

As ALI says, the general consensus on CS is THAT you should get it for f**k all.

AGREE parts on here r very cheap, dont agree bankers draft can be forged/ stopped so not as good as cash

I have trade insurance 3rd party untp any value, never claimed, if i smash my cars up i'ii repair them as thats what i do, they wont get stolen as there never left in the undesirable areas.

Cars are cheaper thats a fact not only retail BUT on auctions, we constantly buy cars from up north (scotland/ tesside etc...) for 30/40% cheaper than in london
